The Arroyo Calera is a river in the south of Uruguay .

It rises on the northern edge of the Cuchilla Juan Gómez in the area of ​​the Lavalleja department . From there it flows for a distance of around 15 kilometers in a south-easterly direction and passes Mariscala around one kilometer south of the urban area. Here it also crosses under the Ruta 8 until it finally flows into the Arroyo Marmarajá west of the Cerro Minuano on the border with the neighboring Maldonado district .
