Arroyo Corte Madera Del Presidio is a creek in Marin County , California . It rises on Knob Hill about 250 m above sea level. The creek flows, partly underground, through the residential areas of the city of Mill Valley and flows into the Bay of San Francisco north of the Golden Gate Bridge . The main tributary of the Arroyo Corte Madera Del Presidio is the Old Mill Creek .

The name of the water comes from Spanish . "Arroyo" refers to a stream bed, "Corte Madera" a place where wood is felled and " El Presidio " the fortress of San Francisco, for which the wood was intended.
