The approximately 75 kilometers long Arroyo Illescas rises on the western slope of the Cuchilla Grande Superior (also Cuchilla Grande Principal). From there it runs in a north-westerly direction in the area of ​​the Florida department . It flows into the Río Yí west of Sarandí .
