The Arroyo de las Vacas is a river in Uruguay .
It rises in the area of the Artigas department a few kilometers southwest of the town of Colonia Palma or north of Belén . Ruta 3 runs to the east . From there it flows in a westerly direction, south of the nearby Arroyo Ceibal and flows as a left-hand tributary near the mouth of the latter in the Río Uruguay .
