The type script Fantasy Publishing is an association founded in January 2012, German publishing house, specializing in dark fantasy , Steampunk and Space Operas . He publishes novels , short stories and anthologies as books and eBooks.

Company history

The type script fantasy publisher was 2012 by the graphic designer founded Grit judge. The dark side of the fantastic was the core of the program from the start. A little later, Dark Fantasy and Steampunk emerged as the publisher's strengths. Space Opera has also been established as the third main genre since 2017. The publisher is increasingly focusing on unusual topics, which are particularly reflected in the anthologies. With regular calls for proposals, new ideas are tried out and young authors are encouraged. From 2012 to the beginning of 2019, ArtScript Phantastik Verlag published 25 titles, including five debut novels and numerous debut short stories. ArtScript Phantastik Verlag stands out because of the intricately designed inside pages of the print books. The covers are often designed by illustrators or photographers.

The publisher's name came about from a tip: "You should be able to tell from the publisher's name which books are being published". The publisher's name is therefore composed of the three words art (for the graphically elaborate interior design), script (for “writing”) and fantastic (the publisher's overarching literary genre).

Publisher Grit Richter is a sustaining member of the Phantastik-Autor-Netzwerk eV (PAN) and at the beginning of 2020 was the initiator of the #Book Hamsters campaign, which was heavily supported by PAN, its board and members.
