artechock is a German-language film magazine that appears exclusively on the Internet.
The film magazine is operated by Artechock e. V. , a registered non-profit association based in Munich. Since it was founded in 1996, it is one of the longest serving online film magazines in Germany.
The current cinema program for Munich is made available every week on the artechock.de website (approx. 110,000 visitors per month (as of January 2011)). In addition, there is a wide range of film-related texts such as reviews , interviews , festival reports , event information , essays , portraits , obituaries , annual reviews and retrospectives . Both the current film program and the texts (including the complete archive) can be accessed free of charge.
From 1997 there was also an art magazine as a sister project, which was discontinued in 2004.
