Arthrex, Inc. is an American medical technology company that was founded in Munich in 1981 and is headquartered in Naples ( Florida ). The privately held company currently employs over 4,400 people worldwide in 21 branches including Germany, Austria, Belgium, England, France, Korea, Switzerland and Japan.

The EMEA headquarters Arthrex GmbH is based in Munich. Other German locations are in Odelzhausen near Munich and in Frechen near Cologne.

Product portfolio

Arthrex develops, produces and markets medical instruments and devices. The range of services includes more than 13,500 products for arthroscopy , reconstruction instruments and implants for sports medicine and traumatology , joint prosthetics as well as products for orthobiology , aesthetic medicine and imaging processes. Arthrex is also active in the field of veterinary medicine. The products are sold in over 100 countries worldwide. The portfolio also includes medical technology solutions, services and courses as well as over 1,200 patents and patent applications worldwide.

social commitment

Under the umbrella of Plan International Deutschland e. V. the Arthrex Foundation was founded in 2005. In cooperation with Plan International, the foundation regularly finances children's aid projects worldwide. The main areas of application are Asia and Africa. As part of these projects, among other things, schools are built and equipped to give children access to education.

Arthrex also supports the Alwin Jäger Foundation, which has set itself the goal of promoting arthroscopy and minimally invasive orthopedics worldwide. It enables doctors and medical specialists to receive training and further education, promotes studies and arranges and supports scholarships.
