Arthur Bartels (painter)

Arthur Ludwig Bartels , also Arem Barthels (born July 27, 1874 in Mülhausen , Reichsland Alsace-Lorraine , † after 1950), was a German painter from the Düsseldorf School .

Life

Bartels attended the Düsseldorf Art Academy from 1891 to 1894 . There Adolf Schill , Carl Ernst Forberg , Hugo Crola , Heinrich Lauenstein and Peter Janssen the Elder were his teachers. Most recently he was based in Berlin.
