Arthur Darvill (2014)

Thomas Arthur Darvill (born June 17, 1982 in Birmingham , England ) is a British actor .

Life

At the age of 10, Darvill joined the Stage2 Youth Theater Company, where he was a member from 1991 to 2000. In 2000 he got a job at the broadcaster CITV. In 2001 he left the station and founded his own theater group. At the 2007 Evening Standard Theater Awards, he received a Best Newcomer nomination for his performance in Terre Haute . In 2008 he made his television debut in the ITV drama He Kills Coppers .

In 2010 he got a role in the cult British science fiction series Doctor Who . He plays Rory Williams , a companion of the 11th Doctor (played by Matt Smith ).

Darvill composed songs for the Bush Theater in London and the music for Che Walker's play Frontline at the Globe Theater .
