Arthur K. Doolittle Award

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The Arthur K. Doolittle Award is an award from the American Chemical Society (ACS) in the field of polymer chemistry . The award was donated by Union Carbide , is endowed with US $ 1,000 and is awarded by the Division of Polymeric Materials: Science and Engineering (PMSE). The award is named after Arthur K. Doolittle († 1982), a chemical engineer at Union Carbide and lecturer at Princeton University . The proceeds from the sale of his 1000-page textbook Technology of Solvents and Plasticizers formed the basis of the award foundation.
