Arthur Lipsch
Arthur Lipsch (* 29. July 1916 in Wicklitz at Aussig ; † 17th September 2006 in Halle (Saale) ) was a German-Austrian commercial artist and poster artist .
Life
Lipsch began a three-year apprenticeship as a graphic draftsman in 1933. He then studied from 1936 to 1939 at the Academy of Applied Arts in Dresden . There he was a student of Arno Drescher . With the onset of World War II, he did his military service and was taken prisoner. After his dismissal in 1949, he worked as a commercial artist in the KWU traffic and advertising office in Halle. From 1952 he worked as a freelance artist in Halle. He was a member of the Association of Visual Artists of the GDR . In 1957 he exhibited in the Moritzburg State Gallery , in 1958 at the DKA (German Art Exhibition) in Dresden and in 1974 and 1979 at the BKA Halle.
