Arthur Mussil

Arthur Mussil (born September 30, 1911 in Mödling , † February 21, 1999 in Klosterneuburg ) was an Austrian politician ( ÖVP ) and Secretary General of the Federal Chamber of Commerce. He was 1964-1966 member of the Bundesrat and 1966-1979 Member of the National Council .

After elementary school, Mussil attended a grammar school from which he graduated with a high school diploma. He then studied at the University of Vienna and received his doctorate. After his legal practice, he entered the service of the Landesgewerbeverband Niederösterreich in 1936, and from 1945 he worked for the Chamber of Commerce for Lower Austria. In 1952 he took over the function of Chamber Office Director, in 1966 he became Secretary General of the Federal Chamber of Commerce.

From 1948 Mussil was a member of the regional management of the Austrian Economic Association in Lower Austria and represented the ÖVP in the Federal Council between November 19, 1964 and March 30, 1966. Then he was from March 30, 1966 to June 4, 1979 member of the National Council.
