Torsten Pugge
Torsten Pügge (born June 20, 1961 ) was a soccer player in the GDR Oberliga , the highest East German soccer class. He played there for FC Hansa Rostock .
In 1970 Pügge was accepted into the FC Hansa Rostock children's team and subsequently graduated from all of FC's youth teams. In 1979 he was allowed to play for the men's area and was included as a striker in the first team for the 1979/80 season. The Hanseatic League was playing in the second-rate GDR league at that time after relegation in the preseason . It succeeded the immediate promotion, the 19-year-old Pugge was only involved with four point games and one goal. When Hansa played in the league again in 1980/81, Pugge was only registered for the team in the junior league. Nevertheless, he was already used in the 1st team on the 2nd matchday of the league. On August 30, 1980 Pügge came in the encounter FC Vorwärts Frankfurt / O. (2: 2) by substituting for right winger Rüdiger Kaschke in the 80th minute for his first league game. Despite his status as a junior player, Pugge completed a total of twelve league games this season and scored two goals. However, it was not enough to become a regular player, because in the following season 1981/82 Pugge only played six times in the league and scored only once in the goal.
After he was not used in the league at all in the 1982/83 season and instead had to play 19 times in the junior team, Pügge turned his back on FC Hansa after only 18 first division games and joined the GDR league club BSG Schiffahrt in the summer of 1983 / Rostock port . By December 1984, Pugge played 16 games as a striker there. At the beginning of 1985 he made another change and now played for the third-rate district division BSG Motor Rostock . In November 1988 he was called up for military service, which he was able to do with the army sports community Vorwärts Fünfeichen . After returning to Rostock in 1990, BSG Motor was renamed BSG Neptunwerft and shortly thereafter became the registered association SG Motor Neptun Rostock.
After retiring from competitive sports, Pugge remained connected to football. In 2006 he played in the traditional team of FC Hansa Rostock, in the same year he was the top scorer of the over 40 team of Bad Doberaner SV 90 with 27 goals
