Arthur Ryan Smith
Captain Arthur "Art" Ryan Smith Jr. , OC , AOE , DFC (born May 16, 1919 in Calgary , Alberta , † June 30, 2008 in Calgary, Alberta) was a Canadian journalist and politician with the Progressive Conservative Association of Alberta .
Career
Smith was a member of the Alberta Legislative Assembly from 1955 to 1957 and a member of the House of Commons for Calgary South from 1957 to 1963 . During the 1988 Winter Olympics he was chief of protocol.

- 1997 Honorary Consul of the 416 Tactical Fighter Squadron.
