Arthur Schicker

Arthur Schicker (born February 16, 1893 in Stuttgart , † 1979 ) was a German administrative officer.

Life

Arthur Schicker, son of the Württemberg State Council and Federal Councilor Karl von Schicker , studied law at the Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen and the Westphalian Wilhelms University from 1912 . In 1912 he became a member of the Corps Rhenania Tübingen . In 1913 he joined the Corps Rheno-Guestphalia Münster . He was a soldier from 1914 to 1918. In 1919 he continued his studies in Tübingen. In 1921 he was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate and passed the 1st and in 1922 the 2nd higher judicial service examination. In November 1922 he entered the service of the Württemberg interior administration, and in August 1923 he became an official at the Oberamt Ludwigsburg with employment in Eßlingen am Neckar . At the end of November 1923 he moved to the Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, where he worked in Section VIII, Housing. In 1926 he was promoted to government councilor. From the beginning of 1933 to 1939 he was District Administrator of the Hall Oberamt . In the same year he joined the NSDAP . In 1939 he became a senior war administrator and Nazi command officer. Released from civil service in 1945, he was re-employed in the Ministry of the Interior of Württemberg-Baden in August 1947 . From the mid-1950s until his retirement he was government director and deputy head of Business Section A, General Affairs, in the Transport Department of the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior. Since 1976 he lived in Stade .
