Arthur T. von Mehren
Arthur Taylor von Mehren (born August 10, 1922 in Albert Lea , Minnesota , † January 16, 2006 ) was an American legal scholar.
Von Mehren was a professor of law at Harvard Law School and a pioneer in the United States in comparative law , international private and civil procedural law , and international arbitration.
In his 50-year career, he published over 210 writings, including ten books, and taught thousands of students. In 2002 a Harvard symposium was held in his honor. In 1980 he was accepted into the American Academy of Arts and Sciences .
