Arthur von Saurma-Jeltsch

Arthur Graf von Saurma-Jeltsch (born July 30, 1831 in Breslau , † August 9, 1878 in Lorzendorf ) was a landowner and member of the Reichstag .

His parents were Alexander von Saurma -Jeltsch (born September 27, 1804, † January 2, 1841) and his wife Countess Luise von Frankenberg-Ludwigsdorf (born January 30, 1807; December 24, 1876).

Arthur was the heir to Lorzendorf and Oberstruse near Neumarkt in Silesia. He served in the army up to the premier lieutenant and was knight of honor of the Order of St. John .

From 1871 to 1874 he was a member of the German Reichstag for the German Reich Party for the constituency of the administrative district of Opole 6 ( Beuthen -Süd, Kattowitz ).

On January 7, 1857, he married Countess Laura Henckel von Donnersmarck (* August 30, 1838 - November 22, 1931), who was the widow of Hippolyt Maria von Renard (1831–1855) and daughter of Hugo Henckel von Donnersmarck . The couple had several children:

  • Johanna Laura Louise (* October 6, 1857 - February 24, 1884) ∞ Count Georg Albrecht Wilhelm von Hohenau (* April 25, 1854 - October 28, 1930), Prussian lieutenant general
  • Johanna Theresia (born November 21, 1858)
  • Johann Arthur Hugo Alexander (* August 14, 1862; † March 19, 1919) ∞ Countess Alexandrine Marie von Karnice-Karnicka (* December 12, 1870; † April 26, 1939)
