Willibald "Willi" Hölz (born April 16, 1929 in Frankenthal ; † August 28, 2010 in Alsenborn ) was a German football goalkeeper .

Career

Willi Holz came in 1947 from VfR Frankenthal for in the then prime Oberliga Southwest gambling 1. FC Kaiserslautern . With the "Red Devils" he took part in the finals for the German championship in 1948, 1949 and 1950 as Southwest Champion. In 1948 it was even possible to advance to the final, which was then lost 1: 2 to 1. FC Nürnberg . With the Lauterern he quickly became “number 1”, but in 1949, after a severe meniscus injury, he was ousted by the newly signed up Karl Adam . In 1950 he left the FCK and joined Wormatia Worms in the league . He also played with Worms in the upper part of the table (2nd, 4th), but did not reach the finals and went back to FCK in 1952.

In 1962 he went to Alsenborn, 15 km from Kaiserslautern, and was goalkeeper at SV Alsenborn until 1966 , where he met other former players of 1. FC Kaiserslautern with Gerhard Ahrens and Otto Render . With Hölz, the club rose three times in a row between 1962 and 1965 and thus reached the Regionalliga Südwest , the second-highest division at the time.
