German football championship 1952/53

German football champion in 1954 was Hannover 96 . They won the title with a 5-1 victory over the defending champions 1. FC Kaiserslautern . It is worth mentioning that the Palatinate provided the most important players in the German national team , which lost in the final on May 23, 1954. On July 4, 1954, Fritz Walter's players then won the World Cup in Bern . VfB Stuttgart won the cup.
