Werner Müller (born February 7, 1926 , † February 13, 2012 in Gronau (Leine) ) was a German football player . In 1954 he was the captain of the Hannover 96 championship team .

After being a prisoner of war, the right runner played from 1948 for SpVgg Hameln 07, which one year later, after the championship in the Lower Saxony amateur league, united with other clubs in Prussia Hameln . After the union, Müller failed with Prussia Hameln in the promotion round to the Oberliga Nord . In 1950 he moved to Hannover 96 . In the German championship finals in 1954 , Werner Müller led Hannover 96 as captain to the German championship . he played 158 games for Hanover in which he scored 14 goals. He also came in the 1954/55 season to a use in the DFB club cup and played 8 games in the finals of the DFB soccer championship. In 1957 Müller ended his active career and became the coach of Hannoversche SC . In his last season for Hanover, he only played 5 games.

After the end of his active career, Müller trained among others Borussia Hannover , Hannoverscher SC , SV Linden 07 and Preußen Hameln.
