Artiom Kiourengian ( Greek Αρτιόμ Κιουρεγκιάν ; born September 9, 1976 in Leninakan ) is a former Greek wrestler of Armenian descent.
biography
Artiom Kiourengian began wrestling at the age of six under his coach Chatschatur Vardanian . From 1992 to 1999 he lived in Ulyanovsk , where he was trained by Anatoly Vinnik . In 1997 he was runner-up at the Russian Championships. In 1999 he moved to Greece, where his cousin Arutik Rubenjan trained him. At the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens he represented Greece in bantamweight in Greco-Roman style and won a bronze medal. In the same year he was able to win the silver medal at the European Championships .
