Arto Vilho Tolsa (born August 9, 1945 in Kotka ; † March 30, 1989 there ) was a Finnish football player .

career

Tolsa played for Kotkan Työvänen Palloilijat (KTP) in Mestaruussarja . In 201 games between 1963 and 1982 he scored 126 goals. In the 1964 season he was the top scorer with 26 goals in 22 games. In 1967 he won his first title with the Finnish Cup.

In 1968 Tolsa moved to Beerschot VAC . Here he scored 14 goals in 200 games. In 1971, 1974 and 1977 he was named Footballer of the Year in Finland . In 1979 he returned to Finland and KTP. He was in 1980 with the club of Finnish Cup winners and ended his active career with this title win.

Tolsa also played 77 caps for Finland .

Tolsa had alcohol problems after his career and died of an illness in 1989 at the age of 43. The FC KTP Kotka , the successor club of Kotkan Työvänen Palloilijat, plays its home games in Arto Tolsa Areena named after the player .
