Arturo Melcher

Arturo Melcher ( Arturo Melcher Borquez; born November 11, 1921 ) is a former Chilean hammer thrower .

In 1951 he won bronze at the Pan American Games in Buenos Aires .

The following year he won the 1952 South American Athletics Championships in Buenos Aires and was eliminated from the qualification at the Olympic Games in Helsinki .

In 1954 he won bronze at the South American Championships in São Paulo , and in 1955 he was fifth at the Pan American Games in Mexico City .

He set his personal best of 52.61 m in 1955.
