Arturo Riccardi (born October 30, 1878 in Saluzzo , † December 20, 1966 in Rome ) was an Italian admiral and state secretary .

Riccardi succeeded Admiral Domenico Cavagnari in December 1940 as Chief of Staff of the Italian Navy and as State Secretary in the “ Ministry of the Navy ”. Since Benito Mussolini was also formally “ Minister of the Armed Forces ”, State Secretaries led the de facto still existing ministries for war, aviation and navy. These state secretaries were also chiefs of the general staff of their armed forces. Riccardi had to give up his offices when the fascist regime was replaced by the new Badoglio government in the summer of 1943 . His successor was Raffaele de Courten , who again as the Navy MinistryMinister led. After 1945 it merged with the new Ministry of Defense .
