Arthur Wolffordt
Artus Wolffordt (* 1581 in Antwerp ; † 1641 ibid) (also: Wolfaerts , Wolffort , Wolfert ) was a Flemish painter.
Shortly after his birth, his parents moved to Dordrecht . On December 29, 1603, he became a member of the St. Lucas guild , but was soon struck out of it again because he was no longer wealthy enough. In 1615 he became Otto van Veen's assistant in Antwerp. In 1617 he is said to have painted The Resurrection and the Assumption on the altar in St. Paul's Cathedral in Antwerp .
Numerous works with religious motifs have been created in his workshop.
His students included Pieter Van Mol (1599–1650) and Pieter van Lint (1609–1690).

Artus Wolffordt was married in Antwerp. His son Jan Baptist Wolfert (born November 15, 1625; after 1656) also became a painter, and one of his daughters married the painter Wilhelm van Herp (1614–1677).
