Artyom Verny ( Russian Артём Алексеевич Верный / Artjom Alexejewitsch Werny; born February 20, 1993 ) is a Russian - Israeli ice hockey player who has been under contract with HC Bat Yam in the Israeli ice hockey league since 2014 .

Career

Artyom Verny began his career as a hockey player in the junior division of HK Spartak Moscow . In the 2011/12 season he played for the club in the junior league Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga . He then moved to HK Odintsovo from the lower class Molodjoschnaja Chokkeinaja Liga B , where he played for two years. In 2014 he moved to Israel, where he has since been on the ice for HC Bat Yam in the Israeli ice hockey league. With the team from Gush Dan , he became Israeli champions in 2016 and 2018 . In 2017 he was the best goal setter in the league.

International

With the Israeli national team , Verny took part in the World Championships of Division II in 2017 and 2018 .
