The Arvesiniadu grape variety is also known under the names Arvisionadu, Alvu Signadu, Argu Ingiannau, Arvu Siniadu, Arvusiniagu, Avrisianiadu and Uva Oschirese.

Ampelographic varietal characteristics

In ampelography , the habitus is described as follows:

  • The shoot tip is open. It is hairy and of a yellow-greenish color. The young leaves are hairless and green in color. The leaves are striped brown
  • The medium-sized leaves are five to seven lobed and deeply indented (see also the article leaf shape ). The stem bay is lyren-shaped open. The leaf margin is bluntly serrated. The teeth are only medium-sized.
  • The cylindrical grape is medium in size. The oval berries are medium-sized and golden yellow in color.

The vigorous grape variety sprouts late and matures about 30 days after the Gutedel and thus belongs to the grape varieties of the middle third ripening period (see the chapter in the article grape variety). It is therefore considered to ripen late. Arvesiniadu is a variety of the noble grapevine ( Vitis vinifera ). It has hermaphroditic flowers and is therefore self-fruiting. In viticulture , the economic disadvantage of not having to grow male plants that produce yield is avoided.
