Arvydas Garbaravičius

Arvydas Garbaravičius (born March 27, 1953 in Kaunas ) is a Lithuanian politician, former mayor of Kaunas (2003-2007).

Life

Arvydas Garbaravičius attended the Juozas Aleksonis School in Žaliakalnis . After graduating from high school, he studied at the Technical University of Kaunas in the department of thermodynamics and energy management . In 1976 Arvydas Garbaravičius began his scientific work at the Energy Industry Institute ( Fizikinių techninių energetikos problemų institutas ). After Lithuania's independence was declared in 1990, Garbaravičius became an entrepreneur. In 1998 he joined the Lietuvos centro sąjunga party . In 2000 he became a councilor on Kaunas City Council and from 2000 to 2001 was Deputy Head of Kaunas District . From 2003 to 2007 Garbaravičius was mayor of the municipality of Kaunas .

His brother is Ramūnas Garbaravičius (* 1956), Lithuanian politician, member of the Seimas .

He is a member of Liberalų ir centro sąjunga .
