The Azerbaijani Technical University (AzTU) ( Azərbaycan Texniki Universiteti in Azerbaijani ; Азербайджанский технический университет in Russian ) is a university in the Azerbaijani capital of Baku .
It was founded in 1950, at that time only engineering training took place.
The university trains around 5,600 students in eight faculties. 70 professors and over 600 lecturers teach in the bachelor's and master’s degree courses at the 46 chairs.
The university maintains university partnerships, particularly in the USA, the Netherlands, Germany, Turkey and Russia.
