Ashley Leggat
Ashley Margaret Anne Leggat (born September 26, 1986 in Hamilton , Ontario ) is a Canadian actress . She was best known for her role as Casey MacDonald in the series Mensch, Derek! .
Career
Leggat has been an enthusiastic dancer and theater player from an early age. Already in her school days she took part in several dance competitions and played various roles in plays. She took on her first professional theatrical role when she embodied "Marta" in the musical The Sound of Music . She later played roles in various other theatrical productions such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde ( Jekyll and Hyde ), The Wizard of Oz ( The Wizard of Oz ) or The King of Narnia ( The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe ). Leggat first appeared in a television production at the age of 13. She later took part in many other TV productions, and in 2005 she became popular with the general public through her role as "Casey" in the Canadian sitcom Mensch, Derek! known.
Personal
Leggat has Scottish and Irish ancestors on his mother's side. She has four brothers. She has been married to the Canadian ice hockey player Jeremy Williams since 2011 .
