Ashley Moloney (born March 13, 2000 in Brisbane ) is an Australian decathlete .

Athletic career

Ashley Moloney gained his first international experience in 2018 at the U20 World Championships in Tampere , where he won the gold medal with a new championship record of 8190 points. In addition, he took seventh place there with the Australian 4 x 400 meters in 3: 09.31 minutes. The following year he finished 13th at the Hypomeeting in Götzis with 8038 points and then surprisingly won the Oceania Championships in Townsville , where he beat his compatriot Cedric Dubler with a new U20 Oceania record of 8103 points .
