Ashwini Chidananda Akkunji (born October 7, 1987 ) is an Indian hurdler and sprinter .

In 2010, she won the 4 x 400 meter relay with the Indian team at the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi . At the Asian Games in Guangzhou , she won the 400-meter hurdles and the 4-by-400-meter relay.

In 2011 she was tested positive for metandienone during a doping control and suspended for two years for this violation of the doping regulations .
