Asie Payton
Asie Payton ( 1937 - May 19, 1997 ) was a blues musician who spent most of his life in Holly Ridge , Mississippi in the Mississippi Delta . He was born in Washington County (Mississippi). He sang and played guitar but made a living as a farmer .
Towards the end of his life he recorded an album, "Worried", for the Fat Possum Records label , which was released after his death. He died of a heart attack . A second album "Just Do Me Right" was released posthumously in 2002.
Payton can be seen in the documentary "You See Me Laughin ': The Last of the Hill Country Bluesmen".
