Askan von Hardenberg

Askan (Ascan) Walther Freiherr von Hardenberg (born June 3, 1861 in Schlöben ; † 1916 ) was chamberlain, state councilor and later state councilor in Sachsen-Altenburg .

He was the son of Hans Freiherr von Hardenberg from the Oberwiedter line of the von Hardenberg family . After his father had only received the title of baron for his person and wife, but not for the children, Askan and his brothers Anton and Hans obtained the Prussian right to use the title of baron on December 15, 1902.

Askan married Anna Freiin von und zu der Tann-Rathmanshausen (* 1862) on October 16, 1886 at Schloss Tann . Their children Erasmus (* 1887), Dietrich (* 1888) and Gerta (* 1892) were born in Erfurt .
