Askold Alexejewitsch Baschanow
Askold Alexejewitsch Baschanow (also Bazhanov, Basanov, Russian Аскольд Алексеевич Бажанов , scientific transliteration Askol'd Alekseevič Bažanov ; born July 21, 1934 in Ristikent ; † October 15, 2012 in Revda ) was a Sami writer from Russia .
Life
Bashanov was born in the Skoltsamian settlement of Ristikent on Lake Notosero in Murmansk Oblast . He graduated from high school and then studied at the Maxim Gorky Literature Institute in Leningrad , but later dropped out. After his return to the Kola Peninsula , he first worked as a reindeer herder in a kolkhoz and later in the region's mining and steel industry.
Bashanov lived and worked in the village of Revda until your death.
