The cherry affodill ( Asphodelus cerasiferus J. Gay , syn .: Asphodelus albus subsp. Cerasiferus (J.Gay) Rouy ) is a species of the genus Affodill ( Asphodelus ) in the subfamily of the Affodill family (Asphodeloideae).

The cherry affodill is a perennial herbaceous plant that reaches heights of 100 to 150 (200) centimeters. It forms a rhizome . The inflorescence is usually branched. The bracts are whitish. The spherical capsule fruit has a diameter of 10 to 20 millimeters.
The flowering period extends from May to August.
Occurrence
The cherry affodilla occurs in north-west Africa, central and east Spain, south France to west and south Italy as well as Sicily on dry rock grass and open garrigues at altitudes from 0 to 1650 meters.
