Asso Richter (* 1954 or 1955 as Klaus-Dieter Richter in Herford , Westphalia ) is a German author , radio comedian and musician .

Life

Asso Richter grew up in Rheda-Wiedenbrück (North Rhine-Westphalia). After graduating from high school, studied social pedagogy at the Bielefeld University of Applied Sciences and worked in this profession until 1981. In 1974, at the age of 19, Richter became a bassist in the jazz rock band "FROB" from Rheda-Wiedenbrück. After various other music projects, he became the bass player in the Bielefeld rock theater group "Das totale Theater" in 1984 with Ingolf Lück, who was discovered for TV a little later, as the front man . Together with the Total Theater he had numerous appearances in clubs and halls, including 1984/1985 a. a. several months guest performance at the springboard theater in Cologne .

After his time at the Total Theater, he presented radio music programs and magazines on HR 3 from 1986 and later also WDR 1, the forerunner of 1 live. In addition, together with Andreas Liebold, he produced his first radio comedy series " Die Tester ", which could also be heard on WDR 1. With this series he also applied to the first regional private broadcaster in Lower Saxony radio ffn at the end of 1987 . The then entertainment editor Gerd Laienbach hired Richter and later Andreas Liebold and Sabine Bulthaup as freelancers. Numerous comedy productions were created in this constellation.

In March 1988 Dietmar Wischmeyer became a member of this team. In July 1988 they developed the broadcaster's overall comedy concept. In November of the same year, the weekly three-hour program "Das Frühstücksradio" (later Frühstyxradio ) started. This name was a Richter's idea and was supposed to be a humorous derivation from the breakfast television that was just emerging at the time .

Furthermore, together with others, Richter developed the first German comedy radio soap called Die Vierma . Under the name Die Vierma , the four also appeared live in the broadcasting area and in the vom Sprungbrett Theater in Cologne. The breakfast radio on radio ffn , moderated by Richter and Wischmeyer as Brungs and Brochterbeck in the first few years , developed into a rating provider for the station. This meant that the crew had artistic freedom within the station. Richter was involved in numerous comedy productions as an author, producer and speaker. B. with Andreas Liebold the most successful daily nonsense short comedy series called The Three Musketeers (approx. 2000 episodes). In 1991 Oliver Kalkofe and Oliver Welke became members of the ffn Comedy editorial team. At the same time, Richter worked as a TV scriptwriter and gag writer a. a. works for Ingolf Lück's Sketchsalat and Lück's Slow Motion. In addition, from the late 1980s to the early 1990s, he designed and hosted Germany's first syndication radio show called Music and More for the record company CBS (merged into BMG Ariola ) .

In 1993 Richter left the team, which had meanwhile become Frühstyxradio , and dedicated himself to his company media productiv , which he founded in 1990, with which he also produces and sells comedy for other broadcasters. From the mid-1990s to 2004, Richter was rarely active in the media and focused on family and company. As OWL Klausi in 2004 Richter tried to build up a regional comedy brand by a. published a hymn in East Westphalia . In 2006 there was a kind of reunion of the Frühstyxradio team. Appearances were planned and new Frühstyxradio programs were produced and sent out with great success. In 2008 there was a farewell tour on the occasion of the 20th anniversary, during which all members of the Frühstyxradio team stood together on stage for the first time.

In December 2012, Asso Richter released a comedy CD with Oliver Kalkofe, Dietmar Wischmeyer, Andreas Liebold and others entitled Ich bin noch Journalist Vol. 2 . In addition to his work in public media, Richter has made a name for himself in the in-store radio sector . Today (2013) he lives in Rheda-Wiedenbrück again.
