The Associação das Universidades de Língua Portuguesa (AULP) is an association of Portuguese-speaking universities and sees itself as a global educational network for Lusophonie .

AULP was founded in 1986 and is based in Lisbon , Portugal . The non-governmental organization has over 150 universities as member institutions and 10 associated members worldwide. Most of the AULP universities come from the 8 countries with the official language Portuguese - Angola , Brazil , Cape Verde , Guinea-Bissau , Mozambique , Portugal , São Tomé and Príncipe , East Timor and Macau . AULP's activities include annual conferences, the publication of theRevista Internacional em Língua Portuguesa (RILP), the award ceremony of the Prémio Fernão Mendes Pinto and much more.

The AULP has observer status with the Community of Portuguese- Speaking Countries ( Comunidade dos Países de Língua Portuguesa , CPLP).
