Hinrich Gerhard Kückens

Hinrich Gerhard Kückens (born May 17, 1853 in Motzen (Berne) , † April 20, 1944 in Oldenburg ) was a German politician .

Life

Born as the son of the Motzen community leader , Kückens studied law in Jena and Göttingen after attending grammar school in Lingen . During his studies in 1875 he became a member of the Arminia fraternity in the castle cellar . After his exams he went to the Oldenburg civil service as an official assessor in Cloppenburg . He then became an auxiliary officer in the offices of Westerstede and Vechta . In 1890 he was Amtshauptmann in office Wildeshausen and 1894 Governing Council . He was a full member of the government of the Principality of Birkenfeld and from 1890 to 1896 a member of the Oldenburg state parliament . Later he was governor in the district of Vechta. In 1910 he became a Privy Councilor and in the following year he was awarded the Knight's Cross First Class of the Oldenburg House and Merit Order of Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig . Kückens retired in 1923.
