Asta e (Romanian for “That's it”) is a documentary by the Romanian director Thomas Ciulei . The film was made in 2001 in the city of Sulina in eastern Romania on the Black Sea . In 2008 Ciulei presented a revised version of the film.
action
Sulina is a small town in the Romanian part of the Danube Delta . Once a prosperous trading town, the economic decline began after the communists took over. Ten years after the fall of Ceaușescu , the city's residents still live in great poverty.
The film portrays four people from three generations who try to make ends meet every day. Her life becomes a metaphor for the insecure situation of many in post-communist Romania.
