Astana-TV (ASTV) ( Russian Астана телеканал ) is a television broadcaster in Kazakhstan with headquarters in the capital Nur-Sultan (Astana until 2019). It broadcasts in Kazakh and Russian 24 hours a day.
Astana-TV began its test broadcasts on March 8, 1992 and its official broadcasts on March 1, 1993. From 2004, it expanded its coverage area to the regions around Almaty , Atyrau , Pavlodar and Shymkent . In May 2006 the regions around the cities of Aqtöbe , Kökschetau , Öskemen , Qostanai and Qysylorda were added.
The station has the US productions Lost , OC, California , Alias - Die Agentin , 4400 - Diereturner and Grey's Anatomy in its program.
The station has two broadcast studios, a large studio and a news studio in Nur-Sultan.
