The Aster Glacier is a glacier in the West Antarctic Ellsworthland . It flows from the eastern slope of Mount Craddock between Elfring Peak and the Willis Ridge ridge in the Sentinel Range of the Ellsworth Mountains through to the Thomas Glacier .
The Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names named it after the US geophysicist Richard Craig Aster (* 1960) from the New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology , who was involved in seismic studies on Mount Erebus on the East Antarctic Ross Island from 1996 to 2002 .
