Astrid Eberlein

Astrid Eberlein (* 1935 in Magdeburg ; † May 18, 2010 there ) was a German teacher and librarian .

Life

Eberlein studied pedagogy in Leipzig , was a music librarian in the Magdeburg city and district library and later head of the music library of the Magdeburg city library . She played a key role in the re-establishment of the Richard Wagner Association in Magdeburg on June 27, 1990, of which she was chairman for over 20 years. A large number of the association's activities, such as concerts, lectures, discussions, theater performances, exhibitions and publications, were based on her initiative.

She died in 2010 after a long and serious illness.

In 2009, Eberlein was allowed to register in the Golden Book of the City of Magdeburg in recognition of her work .
