Asus Zenbook
Zenbook is a subnotebook series of the upper class or upper middle class from the Taiwanese manufacturer Asus . It was first presented in October 2011. All Zenbook notebooks run on the Windows operating system .
Variants (selection)
UX21 / UX31
The first two notebooks in the Zenbook series were the Zenbook UX21 and the Zenbook UX31, which were introduced in October 2011.
These have an 11.6 inch (UX21) or 13.3 inch (UX31) display, with a resolution of 1366 × 768 (UX21) and 1600 × 900 pixels. The processor is the Intel Core i5 -2467M with 2 cores and a clock frequency of 1.6 gigahertz, which is supported by 4 gigabytes of RAM . Alternatively, the Intel Core i7-2677M processor was available. Both models have a 128 gigabyte SSD , whereby the UX31 could optionally also be 256 gigabytes.
The accumulator is 4800 mAh in both.
UX32
The Zenbook UX32 is the successor to the UX31. It now has an optional Full HD display and also an optional dedicated graphics card ( Nvidia GeForce GT620M). Either the Core i5-3317U or the Core i7-3517U is installed as the processor.
Zenbook Touch (UX31A)
The UX31A is the first Zenbook with a touch display . The rest of the equipment is similar to the UX32.
UX42VS / UX52VS
The first multimedia Zenbook was the UX42VS. It had HDD hard drives with a capacity of up to 1 TB, up to 6 gigabytes of RAM and a 14 inch HD display. Intel Core i3 / i5 / i7 of the 3rd generation were available as processors. In addition, the Nvidia Geforce GT645M graphics card with 1 gigabyte of VRAM was installed.
The UX52VS is identical to the UX42VS, but had a 15.6-inch display.
Zenbook Infinity (UX301LA)
The Zenbook UX301LA was presented at IFA 2014. For the first time, it had a QHD display and 4th generation Intel Core processors. This was supported by the Iris 5100 graphics unit. The SSD hard drive was 128, 256 or 512 gigabytes in size, the main memory was 8 gigabytes.
Zenbook Infinity (UX302)
Asus officially presented the Zenbook Infinity (UX302) together with the UX301. The display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels. The Nvidia Geforce GT730 is used as the graphics card . The RAM is 2 or 4 gigabytes, depending on the variant, the HDD hard drive is 500, 750 or 1000 gigabytes in size.
UX303
Asus presented the UX303 for the first time at Computex 2014. This has a QHD + display (3200 × 1800 pixels) or a full HD display (1920 × 1080 pixels). The graphics chip is called Nvidia GeForce GTX840M, the processors Intel Core i5-5200U or Intel Core i7-5500U.
UX305
The Zenbook UX305 was presented at IFA 2015. It was the first to have an Intel Core M processor. The 13.3-inch display has a resolution of 1920 × 1080 pixels or 3200 × 1800 pixels. The main memory is 4 or 8 gigabytes, the SSD is 128, 256 or 512 gigabytes.
UX330UA
The Zenbook UX330UA was introduced in 2016 and has 6th generation Intel processors, a Full HD or 4K display and 256 or 512 gigabytes of SSD storage. When it comes to RAM, the buyer could choose between a variant with 8 and one with 16 gigabytes.
Zenbook 3 UX390
The Zenbook 3 was presented at Computex 2016 and, according to Asus, is the thinnest Zenbook on the market. It only has a Thunderbolt 3 port and a 3.5 mm jack port. In the maximum configuration, the user has 1 terabyte SSD, 16 gigabytes of RAM and an Intel Core i7 processor. Alternatively, there is also a cheaper version with Intel Core i5, 8 gigabytes of RAM and 512 gigabytes of SSD.
According to Asus, the Zenbook 3's battery should offer 9 hours of battery life.
Zenbook 3 Deluxe (UX490)
The Zenbook 3 Deluxe, which was first introduced at the Consumer Electronics Show 2017, is the big brother of the Zenbook 3 UX390. It now has a 14-inch full HD display and instead of one, three USB-C ports. In addition, there is now a variant with an SSD hard drive of just 256 gigabytes.
UX330
The UX330 was introduced in September 2016. This has 6th generation Intel Core i-series processors, a 256 gigabyte SSD and 8 gigabytes of RAM. The 13.3 inch display has a resolution of 3200 × 1800 pixels (QHD +) or 1920 × 1080 pixels (Full HD).
Over time, the UX330 were also sold with the 7th generation Intel processors.
UX340
The UX340 is a variant of the UX330, which now has a 14-inch display. In addition, an HDD hard drive is available next to the SSD. A dedicated graphics card (Nvidia Geforce GT940MX) is also optionally available.
Zenbook Flip S
Asus unveiled the Zenbook Flip S at Computex 2017. It has a 13.3-inch UHD display (3840 × 2160 pixels), which can be rotated 360 degrees backwards, thus enabling use as a tablet computer . The touch display can also be operated with a 1,024-level input pen .
In addition to 2 USB-C ports and an audio port, the Zenbook Flip S has a fingerprint sensor on the side for Windows Hello functionality.
Either the Intel Core i5-7200U or the Intel Core i7-7500U is used as the processor. The main memory of the Zenbook is either 8 or 16 gigabytes, the PCIe SSD 256, 512 or 1024 gigabytes, depending on the variant.
UX331UN
Asus presented the Zenbook UX331 at CES 2018. The display is 13.3 inches and has a full HD resolution (1920 × 1080 pixels). The SSD is 256, 512 or 1024 gigabytes in size. The processor used is the Intel Core i5 8250U or i7 8550U, which is supported by 8 or 16 gigabytes, and an Nvidia Geforce MX150 with 2 GB graphics card memory. A fingerprint sensor is also installed.
UX331UAL
The UX331UAL is largely identical to the UX331UN, but now has a lighter housing made of a magnesium alloy, which allows a weight of less than 1 kg. The option with a dedicated graphics card is no longer available.
Zenbook S UX391UA
The Zenbook S UX391UA was presented by Asus at Computex 2018. It is the first to have the so-called "ErgoLift" design, whereby the display lifts the keyboard by 5.5 degrees when it is opened. The latter is 13.3 inches tall and triggers with Full HD. The Intel Core i5-8250U or Intel Core i7-8550U is used as the processor, together with 8 or 16 gigabytes of RAM and 256, 512 or 1024 gigabytes of SSD hard disk space. According to Asus, the battery life should be up to 14 hours.
UX580GE
The Zenbook Pro UX580GE was also presented at Computex 2018 with a 15.6-inch 4K display plus a 5.5-inch full HD display instead of the touchpad , the so-called ScreenPads. The connections are 2 x Thunderbolt 3, 2 x USB 3.1 Type A and 1 x HDMI 2.0. The processor in the Zenbook Pro UX580GE is the Intel Core i7-8750H (6 x 2.2 GHz) or the Intel Core i9-8950HK (6 x 2.9 GHz). There are also 16 gigabytes of RAM , 256, 512 or 1024 gigabytes of SSD storage and an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 Ti graphics card with 4 gigabytes of graphics memory.
UX333
At the IFA 2018 presented Asus Zenbook UX333 before the. In addition to an almost borderless 13.3 inch full HD display, the UX333 has an Intel Core i3 8145U, Intel Core i5 8265U, or Intel Core i7 8565U processor, 8 or 16 gigabytes of RAM and an Intel UHD 620 graphics card. An Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2 gigabytes of graphics memory is also available as an option . The internal SSD storage is 128, 256, 512 or 1024 gigabytes in size.
Special features are an infrared camera and Bluetooth 5.0. The weight is 1.1 kg.
