The Atka Glacier is a glacier in the Convoy Range in East Antarctic Victoria Land . It flows east of Flagship Mountain in a northerly direction to the Fry Glacier .

The New Zealand Northern Group of the Commonwealth Trans-Antarctic Expedition (1955-1958) discovered it in 1957 and named it after the icebreaker USS Atka , which was part of the US association in McMurdo Sound from 1956 to 1957 .
