Atlètic Club d'Escaldes is an Andorran amateur football club from the small town of Escaldes-Engordany .

history

Founded on May 20, 2002, the Atlètic Club took part in the game operation in Andorra from the 2002/03 season and was immediately third in the Segona Divisió and qualified for the promotion games. However, they failed there with only two draws and four defeats and were 14 points behind the promoted and local rivals UE Engordany . In the following season, 14 wins in one draw and one defeat and thus eight points ahead of Casa Estrella de Benfica, promotion to the Primera Divisió .

With only two wins and no more points, Atlètic Club d'Escaldes finished last at the end of the main round in the 2004/05 season, but achieved three wins in the relegation games. Thanks to the better direct comparison, they placed themselves ahead of Gran Valira FC Encamp , which had to go into the second division.

In the following year you found yourself in the relegation zone. However, with a gap of 17 points after the relegation playoffs, the danger was clearly averted this time and finally placed sixth. In the 2006/07 season the club was relegated.

Stadion

Although the club comes from Escaldes-Engordany, it plays its home games like all other Andorran clubs at Camp d'Esports d'Aixovall .
