The Atlas BKK Ahlmann ( spelling : atlas BKK ahlmann ) is a German health insurance company from the group of company health insurance funds and, as such, the statutory health insurance provider . The health insurance company is open to the nine federal states of Bremen, Bavaria, Hamburg, Hesse, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, Lower Saxony, North Rhine-Westphalia, Schleswig-Holstein and Thuringia.

Board of Directors and Board of Directors
The board of directors is provided by Peter Witt (chairman) and Bernd Brickmann (representative of the board of directors). The board of directors as a self-governing body of Atlas BKK Ahlmann consists of 15 people with 10 representatives of the insured and 5 representatives of the employers. The composition of the Board of Directors is decided every six years in a social election. The last social election took place on May 31, 2017.
Contributions
Since January 1, 2009, the contribution rates have been specified by the legislature. These are the same for all health insurance companies. So far, Atlas BKK Ahlmann has waived additional contributions (as of August 2013). The health insurance fund relieved its members for 2013 and 2014 with a premium distribution (dividend) of 120 euros and 60 euros respectively.
As of January 1, 2015, the uniform contribution rate will no longer apply and the health insurances will again be able to determine their contribution rate individually. The contribution rate is set at 14.6 percent for all health insurance companies. In addition, there is room for maneuver through an additional contribution , in 2015 in the amount of 0.9 percent, 2016 to 2019 in the amount of 1.2 percent, since 2020 in the amount of 1.7 percent.
Health care
The health insurance company offers various additional services in the area of preventive care and health care, such as professional teeth cleaning, health courses and trips, additional child check-ups, homeopathy and osteopathy.
In the 49/2012 issue of Focus Money magazine , Atlas BKK Ahlmann was recognized as the health insurance company with the best additional benefits among the regional health insurance companies. In 2013, Atlas BKK Ahlmann was again awarded for additional services by Focus Money . In 2014, Euro magazine gave Atlas BKK Ahlmann top marks for family benefits.
