Atlassian [ ətˈlæsiən ] is a provider of software solutions for software developers based in London with operational headquarters in Sydney .

Companies

Mike Cannon-Brookes and Scott Farquhar, who knew each other from studying at the University of New South Wales , founded Atlassian in Sydney in 2002 . The company has around 89,000 customers worldwide and six offices in five countries (including San Francisco , Amsterdam and Yokohama ).

They funded the company themselves with a credit card limit of US $ 10,000. In July 2010, it received $ 60 million in venture capital from Accel Partners . In December 2015, the company went public on the NASDAQ under the abbreviation TEAM, in 2013 the headquarters were relocated to Great Britain .

At the beginning of 2017, Atlassian bought the manufacturer of the project management software Trello .

Products

Atlassian products and services ( e.g. Bamboo , Crucible , SourceTree , Bitbucket ) are aimed at software developers.
