Atle Knudsen

Atle Knudsen (* 1971 in Norway ) is a Norwegian film and television director and screenwriter

Life

Atle Knudsen studied television at the University of Bergen . His directing career began in 1995. Since 1998 he has worked as a director for the Norwegian broadcaster Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK). His two Advent calendar series Linus im Sommer ( Linus i Svingen , 2004) and Jul i Svingen (2006) as well as the ghost series Uhu! (2002). The series Waffelherzen was internationally successful , in which he directed all seven episodes.

In 2009 his first feature film, Orps - The Movie , was released, which was based on a popular children's series. For this he was nominated for the Amanda Film Prize in the category of Best Children's and Youth Film. In 2010 he produced the Advent series Den unge Fleksnes . In 2014 he was the director of the first season of the children's and youth series Trio - Odin's Gold . In 2020 the series Bloody Trip , which he helped to develop , was published on Netflix, in which he also staged two episodes.

In addition to his work as a television director, he is also a director at the Grimmsborken Theater.
