Atomenergoprom ( Russian Атомэнергопром ) is a Russian nuclear power company owned by the Russian state. 94.4% of the shares in Atomenergoprom belong to Rosatom , the remaining 5.6% are owned by the Russian Ministry of Finance. The company was founded in 2007 by a decree of President Putin . With the establishment of Atomenergoprom, the most important nuclear companies in Russia were brought together in a state-owned corporation. Atomenergoprom's subsidiaries are active in uranium mining and the development and operation of nuclear power plants.
